We have more than 30 years of expertise in quality down – producing equipment for expeditions exploring the coldest areas of the world and therefore, all our Y by Nordisk products are filled with Crystal Down® – a selection of the absolutely finest and most voluminous European down.
Our secret is long term commitment towards excellence and competence, high degree of workmanship and filled with the finest European down.
From the very early days, we have regarded down as a highly valued core component. It has been a constant procedure for us to understand and work towards the lowest possible impact on the nature around us. In the nineties we developed our own system to ensure traceability of the down, and to simply ensure our supply chain was of the highest quality – while at the same time ensuring animal welfare. Each of our Y by Nordisk product is labeled with a unique number that reveals animal species, origin and quality of the down.
And so, each single piece of Crystal Down® is many things, but first and foremost European origin, traceable and washable.
